Comment: Christ is risen, He is with us. His resurrection silences fear and fills us with hope and joy. Now go out and proclaim it!

The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. "He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.

Comment: Do not allow fear to mislead or fool you with things that are not true. We have no cause to be afraid when we place our faith in God's promises that are true. Seek Him and you will find Him, and then look forward to meeting Him face to face. He is our reward.

Comment: When our hearts are fixed and trusting in God we are able to be at peace and unafraid of outside troubles that we have no control over.

Comment: A broken spirit must be bound up, an offer of forgiveness and a comforting word provides encouragement and comfort to drive away fear.

But Joseph replied, “Don’t be afraid of me. Am I God, that I can punish you?  You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.

Comment: When we ask forgiveness from someone we have offended, do not place them in such high a position that we are afraid of their disapproval, make peace with God and you will find it easier to make peace with man.

When the brothers came close to him, he said to them, "I am your brother Joseph, whom you sold as a slave to go to Egypt. Now don't be worried or angry with yourselves because you sold me here. Comment: What a comfort it is that Christ is close by to reassure us when we are afraid and to forgive when we are filled with remorse. Our Father is all powerful and able to use all things for His good.

While Peter was still speaking, the shadow of a bright cloud passed over them. From the cloud a voice said, "This is my own dear Son, and I am pleased with him. Listen to what he says!" When the disciples heard the voice, they were so afraid that they fell flat on the ground. But Jesus came over and touched them. He said, "Get up and don't be afraid!"

Comment: What a comfort it is that Christ is nearby, that through His word and touch of grace He is able to remove the clouds of fear.
