Matthew 10:26

So do not be afraid of them. There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.

Matthew 10:26 (NIV)

Comment: Do not be concerned for the things of this world or from what man can do, but concern yourself with the condition of your soul. We worship a God that no earthly adversity or fear can separate us from.

Bald Eagle Along The Kokosing River – Rural Knox County

but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. — Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)

This bald eagle was one half of a nesting pair of eagles along the Kokosing River in rural Knox County, Ohio. They hatched a pair of young eaglets in early 2009. After several attempts I was finally able to capture few nice images as he flew directly overhead.

Mariposa Grove

I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth. — Psalm 57:9-11 (NIV)

In May, 2008 we visited Yosemite National Park, so much beauty, so much inspiration. This stand of Sequoias in the Mariposa Grove near the south end of the park were truly impressive, it was like they were reaching to the heavens praising God.

Matthew 10:17-20

Don’t be naive. Some people will impugn your motives, others will smear your reputation just because you believe in me. Don’t be upset when they haul you before the civil authorities. Without knowing it, they’ve done you and me a favor, given you a platform for preaching the kingdom news! And don’t worry about what you’ll say or how you’ll say it. The right words will be there; the Spirit of your Father will supply the words.

Matthew 10:17-20 (MSG)

Comment: Like sheep among the wolves we are sent by Christ who protects. We are free of worry when we rely on God rather than our own abilities. When we speak for Him we trust in His Spirit of wisdom.

WACO 50th ReUnion Fly-In

Sing to God, sing praises to his name, extol him who rides on the clouds – his name is the LORD – and rejoice before him. — Psalm 68:4 (NIV)

This was taken at the 50th Anniversary of the WACO Fly-In at the Wynkoop Airport in Mount Vernon, Ohio in June of 2009. It was a beautiful week with over 70 bi-planes making the trip from all over the country. The Wynkoop airstrip takes you back in time as the runways are not paved, just mowed grass between the cornfields… very cool. A few of the pilots were offering flights but I didn’t take any of them up on the offer, but I think I just might do that this year. The Fly-In takes place during the month of June each year. Here is a link to an article from the Mount Vernon News. This picture was featured in our 2010 Calendar.

Matthew 01:19-20

And Joseph her husband, being a righteous man and not wanting to disgrace her, planned to send her away secretly. But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.”

Matthew 1:19-20 (NASB)

Comment: When we quiet ourselves before God we are most receptive to His calming Spirit, who is able to deliver us from our doubts and fears.

Genesis 46:03-04

He said, “I am God, the God of your father; do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you a great nation there. I will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also surely bring you up again; and Joseph will close your eyes.”

Genesis 46:3-4 (NASB)

Comment: Our fears are silenced knowing that wherever God sends us, we are assured that He will also be with us.
